Ubudiah Mosque is a favourite subject on postcards, constructed in the 30s, spanning through these periods, many versions of the postcards in black and white as well as color prints have been found. The abundance of the postcards fascilitates the realisation of Maximum Cards.

为了制作极限片特地驱车250公里到霹雳州皇城瓜拉江沙邮局求个原地纪念戳. 邮局就在街头的一角, 小小的一个邮政局, 人潮很多, 但制作极限片的却不见有其他的人. 乌布代 (Ubudiah) 清真寺, 久闻其名, 还不曾到访过, 乘制作极限片之便, 顺道走访了这名胜. 不虚此行.

In order to realise a maximum card of the Ubudiah Mosque at Kuala Kangsar, I had to travel 250KM from Seremban to the town to have the commemorative postmarks done on the MCs. The Kuala Kangsar postoffice is situated at one corner of the town, a rather small post office but crowded with customers, however, there were none realising MCs on the spot. I have heard of the Ubudiah Mosque many a times, however, I have NOT have the chance to make a visit to the place. I have made the visit a last along with this trip of realisation of MC at Kuala Kangsar. A memorable trip to remember.

The mosque was built in 1912, a contributory effort of YTM Tunku Mahmud Ibni Almarhum Sultan Tajuddin Mukarram Shah. The site of this mosque was the cemetery of Kedah warriors who had died while defending Kedah from the Siamese in 1821. The architecture of the mosque was inspired by the AZIZI Mosque in Langkat town in North Sumatra. This mosque is enhanced with five prime large domes symbolizing the five Islamic principles.

Its official opening ceremony was held on Friday, 15 October 1915 by the late HRH Sultan. Tunku Mahmud read the Friday sermon while HRH Sultan Abdul Hamid Shah led the Friday prayer. Behind Zahir Mosque is the Syariah Court building complex and Pre-School for Children aged below 6 years old.

Putrajaya is a new government administrative township properly built to the modern town planning concept. The new Prime Minister Administrative Complex and the Mosque are beautiful as viewed in the night.

I have not missed the opportunity to realise a maximum card on this stamp issue.

马六甲著名旅游景点 - 基督大教堂, 有幸让邮政当局选中上了邮票. 在大马, 宗教问题向来敏感, 从来就不敢想像有朝一日宗教建筑会有机会走入大马邮票. 这一回拜2007大马观光年来临之际, 为了标榜马来西亚是个多元宗教的国度, 旅游局特别通融, 才把这一所历史悠久荷兰人所留下来的基督大教堂给设计上了邮票. 这是一个制作极限片的大好机会... 宗教事物走入大马邮票的确是项果敢的突破, 将来是不是再会破例, 就很难说. 方寸间的基督大教堂图甚小,然而不足之处, 极限片正好可以彌補小图的缺憾! 老远赶到马六甲基督大教堂附近的邮政局完成了制作几枚原地极限片, 给历史留下了一些记录!

Glad to have the Christ Church building featured on the 2007 Visit Malaysia Year series of Stamps. Religion is a sensitive issue in Malaysia, although, Malaysians enjoy the freedom of individual beliefs, the people are cautious about the Religious matters. A religious building/architecture was selected to be featured on the Malaysian stamp is a real breakthrough. I took the opportunity to realise several maximum cards to capture the full view of the Architecture on cards.

The unrecoverable Bok's House 永远消失的蔡正木豪居

The Bok House was an old mansion on Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur, owned by a private trustee managed by the Bok family. The mansion was designed by Swan and Maclaren in 1926 and it was completed in 1929 for a local millionaire, Chua Cheng Bok. In the 1960s and up until its closure in 2001, the mansion housed an upscale restaurant called the Le Coq d'Or. On December 15 2006, the mansion was demolished, resulting in public outcry. Above is a postcard featuring the Bok's house before its demolition. A photo exhibition is currently held @ Central Market , Kuala Lumpur from 26.1.2007 - 11.2.2007 on the historical unrecoverable.

蔡正木豪居位于吉隆坡安邦路，曾经是蔡氏家族的私人产业。由Swan & Maclaren绘测师于1926年所设计的蔡氏故居，从1960－2001由一家餐厅 Le Coq d'or 在该居经营。市议会一通纸令之下，蔡氏故居在 2006年12月15日，被拆除了。在保护古迹的有识人士一致抗议之下，市议会一意孤行。。。。拆除了。

为了回顾与纪念，吉隆坡中央市场由26.1.2007-11.2.2007 举办一个摄影展，展出多副有关老建筑物的珍贵照片。
